Bugs

I was sick this week.. Some kinda "bug".. I had a fever and everything.. Took a little time off work, and, yes, the bike too. Knock on wood.. I never get sick. So that was kinda eventful for me.. And speaking of bugs and events... I believe for only the second time in my life.. I was a stung by a bee this week.. About 35 years ago I stepped on a bee and was stung.. This week I was riding the trails at Stony, and was stung on the tongue.. Hey that rhymes! Ouch!! Guess I'm not allergic or anything as my tongue didn't swell up and only hurt for a short while... Hopefully that's it for getting bugged this week.. :-)

Stony Time Trial History

I posted up similar archival results for the pontiac lake time trial earlier this year and it was pretty popular so... I believe this weekend's stony time trial will be tailwind's 9th annual running of the event. I've participated in all but 2001, I didn't race at all that year. Well, obviously, I like looking at results...

Ruby....

I've still never been to Ruby Campground... It's a beautiful morning as I type this, camelbak is filled, bike and everything I need to race is loaded in the car, etc.... But I just pulled the plug. The weather radar makes me think rain will arrive just as I get there to do my pre-ride lap and from what everyone says, a pre-ride lap at Ruby would be kinda important to my well being... Of course, it will probably end up a glorious day... Oh well... At least my perfect record of never riding the trails there is still intact...
