Hope it rains a lot this weekend

I'm gona try to ride super light this weekend as my slight knee ache is just starting to become more noticeable. It's still easy to ignor and go out and put in huge miles but I figure with the long summer of fun ahead of me I better try and be good for a couple days and let my recover.

Showing off

Did the Loose Spokes Tuesday "Hammerfest" Road Ride on my mountain bike again last night. That makes 9 Tuesday rides in a row that I have done on the mt bike if you count the last 7 in 2005. It’s pretty fun to buzz by the roadies on the big knobby tires. I can’t deny that it can be really hard at times but it hasn’t killed me so you know what they say.

USCF Road Catagory One

Well, I'm one step closer to being a pro on the road. :-)

I upgraded my USCF road catagory to a "one" this year just in case some of my "cat 1" teammates need help at a big deal Pro-1 race. Plus it just sounds good.

6 laps of Pontiac

As a joke I invited the guys to join me at Pontiac Lake to do 8 laps. Turned out most everyone thought I was serious which got me thinking... Maybe? Well at the end of the day it was 6 laps for me and Alex. I'm sure we could have suffered through 2 more but 6 seemed like enough this time. There's always next weekend. Christian, Shawn, and Chris stopped at 4 laps.

Waterford #3

We (wolverines) got first (Steve) and second (Danny) from a 7 man break. Another big WSC turnout made it pretty easy to control the field after the break formed mid-race. I managed another 10th with a 3rd in the field sprint. Third in the field sprint? Yep. Honestly that still has me grinning a little as I'm deffinatly not a sprinter. Terry Palmer (another wolverine) won the field sprint to finish 8th.
