I did that next to any outdoor restaurant at 24 and Van Dyke. I flew around the corner on the side walk at race pace and my rear tire slid out. I slid on my butt (scraped in the same area as you) and everyone at the restaurant gasped in surprise. Your description pretty much fits for that too...

bummah - ruins the flow of a ride and of course, the kit (roadie speak for the uniform). at least i'll guess it was 2010's uniform, not 2011!
